How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Marks & Spencer has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Food for Thought

Bath, UK

We run cookery workshops in conjunction with Julian House, Genesis Trust, Wellbeing College and St. Mungos here in Bath. Bath Mind has an allotment and we hold cookery classes in the vegetable garden where the volunteers from our gardening group, Greenlinks, along with service users from the other support groups, can learn to cook what they grow. We also cater for outside events, and when our volunteers are sufficiently confident we encourage them to become involved in many different ways. We always need funding support to help with food, art materials and community transport.

Mercy In Action

Bath, UK

Mercy in Action in the UK works alongside young homeless women and their babies by providing accommodation and ongoing support through a network of Petra Houses. In B&NES we have also run Action Pantry, a food club for families struggling with food poverty. All families are referred by professionals and attend weekly to collect their food, choose free clothing for their children and chat with support workers who can help with signposting to other organisations.
