We provide a number of different activities for the local community from women's group, children's activities, opportunities for older generation to meet together, support for debt, housing, benefit advice and a drop in cafe style service. People are able to get fed alongside some company and obtain advice on a number of issues. More vulnerable members of the community are able to receive a warm welcome and support from volunteers who are available to talk and sit with people of all ages and background from the local community.

Billericay Foodbank, founded in 2018, is a registered charity providing food and other essential items to over seventy households in Billericay and surrounding areas. For essential overheads, and to deliver a balanced provision of food, consistent funding needs to be available. As well as the regular ambient food, we also like to provide fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as milk, to our families with their weekly food parcel. We will use any funding that we receive towards helping tackle Food poverty. We also support many groups in our community, some of which are listed below. - Disability - Tackling Food Poverty - The prevention or relief of poverty - Children/young people - Elderly/old people - Provides services

Homeless help in Basildon is a community group of volunteers that aim to help homeless people. It is a not for profit organisation, no volunteers are paid; all donations are used directly to help the homeless. Please contact the group directly through Facebook if you have spotted someone homeless in the Basildon area and we will get in contact with them. Help for the homeless includes • Providing hot and cold food • Collecting and providing second-hand clothing • Collecting and providing bedding • Collecting and providing toiletries • Assisting with furniture for homeless people who have been found a place. Sky (The founder) won the Essex Pride "unsung hero" award in 2019. We also won 3 Basildon council volunteer awards in 2022: Voluntary group of the year, Peoples Choice Award and Community star.
