Our organisation base all Borough in England for homelessness, Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Domestic violence, Youth and Adult in needs. We provide accommodation for homelessness through our Outreach workers and through Borough Councils. We provides our clients food as-well as daily needs through assessments and key work meeting by allocating support worker/ project worker as the person to speak with and support them at all time. Our Organisation provides everything needed for their day to day of their recovery including benefits and housing needs. There is Housing benefits for individual when qualify for accommodations under our organisation which staff will apply for, to pay direct to Landlord. Food donations will be used to support these services.

Hackney priory parents live in supported accommodation aimed at providing services for young vulnerable parents / young people with complex needs/ young people with mental health needs, between the ages of 16 – 24 years old. One housing have merge with Riverside March 22, we are now One Housing part of Riverside – within the organisation I work with valuable young parents -who are referred by Hackney Social Services, there needs varies from Mental Health, Domestic abused, substance misuse – asylum seekers etc etc etc. We have a few sites in Hackney for young people with complex needs who also receive these donations. These young people we work with are on very low income who struggle day to day to manage their income/budget. Receiving donation helps these young people with managing on their low income, the donations are much appreciated by young people as most of the item which are donate would be unaffordable on their budget. Every Tuesday we run a young mother’s group to promote positive parenting, healthy relationships, positive mental health and well being, amongst other things. The young mothers are all on low incomes and would welcome any donations that are offered; we could also use donations to facilitate healthy cooking workshops and encourage budgeting their income accordingly. We have in the past received clothing items from charity organisation which is not ongoing. We do not collect any other donation from retailers. We do not work in the community all donations are handed out to Hackney Parents and Complex Needs within our Hackney organisation. Edible London was formed over 5 years ago but registered in (March 2018) as a community interest company working within and around the surrounding area of the London Borough of Haringey. We believe in win-win dynamics… in sharing… in collaborating…in creating structures built on empathy and abundance. Our goal is to help those in the community who suffer from food poverty to eat a more nutritious diet and, in turn, learn to feed their community through food growing. Created as a coming-together of a diverse, determined and committed crew of local individuals, all working toward an inspiring goal. Planned a brighter future for not only the Wolves Lane Horticultural Centre but also for the local community and those disenfranchised and disconnected with those living around them; all centred around horticulture and community spirit. The idea of food growing bringing people together and closer to the natural world in general, within the geographical location it is situated. Haringey is deeply affected by many issues that you would expect to find in an area with high levels of economic inequality. Food poverty, social isolation, crime, a disenfranchised youth, high levels of this, offsets the relentless march of gentrification, pushing aside individuals and families on lower incomes who have been an integral part of this area for many years and even generations. OUR AMBITION AND LONG-TERM GOALS - To increase our offering to those in the community who suffer from food poverty. - To allow everybody to eat a more nutritious diet, to educate them and allow them to educate others and, in turn, learn to feed their community through food growing and better food education. - To support the local and wider community by providing them with the education and opportunity to support themselves and those in need by growing and getting involved with the process of growing and producing organic sustainable food.
