lilyanne’s wellbeing is a community-based charity in hartlepool dedicated to empowering unique minds and improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and families across the north east. we provide free, person-centred support for people experiencing mental health challenges, loneliness, and neurodiversity, including autism and adhd. our mission is to make sure no one falls through the gaps in support or faces life’s challenges alone. we focus on early intervention, counselling, and wellbeing support, offering a safe and confidential environment where people can talk, feel heard, and rebuild their confidence. our qualified counsellors, psychologists, and peer support workers deliver professional, trauma-informed support without waiting lists, ensuring people can access help when they need it most. alongside counselling, we run a range of wellbeing and community activities such as coffee mornings, group sessions, and creative workshops to reduce loneliness and promote inclusion. we also deliver tailored neurodiversity support, helping autistic and adhd individuals gain understanding, build confidence, and thrive in daily life. our skills kitchen programme combines practical life skills with emotional wellbeing support, teaching cooking, budgeting, and home management while building confidence and independence. this holistic approach helps people sustain stable lives and improve long-term wellbeing. founded by trevor sherwood, who lives with fibromyalgia and a dual diagnosis of autism and adhd, lilyanne’s wellbeing was created from lived experience and a deep understanding of the barriers people face when trying to access help. we work closely with partner organisations including community links and local outreach and probation services, ensuring those affected by addiction or rehabilitation receive specialist support while we focus on mental health and wellbeing. every year, we support hundreds of people in hartlepool and surrounding areas. our impact is seen in lives transformed, isolation reduced, and hope restored. our vision is to continue building a safe, inclusive community where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported. through compassion, connection, and understanding, we aim to create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most. 💚 lilyanne’s wellbeing – empowering unique minds and supporting better mental health for all.
