Looprun is a response division and part of an independent social enterprise. This is more than food and is part of a supportive services platform to help people get sustained in their own individual way. With up to 94% success rate and seeing once those receiving free Looprun response bags to returning to stores as shoppers with baskets full. These are the impact stories created when all come together to do good for good. Service users are signposted to Looprun mostly from referrals including professionals in social and healthcare. Looprun provides free non perishables, perishable food, toiletries, and brand new clothing to people facing a temporary challenge. Whatever supermarkets, stores, and retailers can do is turned into a grateful donation to a neighbour in need. This is a response to real people in real-time. No food is banked providing a direct in and out service. We believe if the food is stored then a person in need is not getting any food, hence we provide an instant response and instant impact service. Looprun has access to professional volunteers who carry out a confidential support service to people in need. From homeless shelters, hostels, sheltered housing, care homes, soup kitchens and schools. This is a non voucher, free and confidential service. This means Looprun can reach more people in need with food donations. Anyone that receives a Looprun bag of essential food items is sustained thus creating a loop cycle. Known to children and young people simply as “The Way”, Wolverhampton Youth Zone is a purpose‑built facility supporting young people aged 8–18, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. Open weeknights and Saturdays, The Way provides a safe, welcoming place for young people from across the city and surrounding areas. For an annual membership of just £5 and 50p per visit, young people can access: A hot meal or snack A trusted adult to speak to A safe place to spend time Over 20 weekly activities, including arts, music, media, sports, fitness, recreation, cooking, and more The Way works in partnership with local government, businesses, families, and the wider community to ensure young people have the support, opportunities, and experiences they need to thrive today and into adulthood. At Dovecotes TMO, we are dedicated to supporting our residents and building a strong, connected community. Over the past three years, we’ve faced a number of challenges: increasing demand for support during the cost of living crisis, rising repair costs, contractor shortages, and ongoing environmental and anti-social behaviour issues. On top of this, we’ve worked hard to re-engage residents after the pandemic, all while managing limited funding opportunities. How We Help Despite these challenges, we remain committed to providing practical and emotional support for our residents. Many new residents move into our properties facing financial hardship, and we work closely with them to access support, advice, and resources. Our staff actively respond to housing issues, coordinate repairs, and run community projects that bring people together. We also work in partnership with local agencies to tackle environmental concerns and anti-social behaviour, keeping Dovecotes a safe and welcoming place to live. What We Need To continue making a difference, we need the support of our community and partners. Funding, volunteers, and in-kind support allow us to provide essential services, run community activities, and assist residents facing financial and social challenges.
