Sainsbury's Mile End Station Local

We are a small primary school and part of the Paradigm Trust. We have been open since 2014 and the school was recently graded outstanding by Ofsted. The cost of living crises has really affected our pupils -we have a lot of families in need at our school and a high percentage of families on benefits related free school meals. Neighbourly.com came strongly recommended and we would love to connect with local businesses in Mile End and the surrounding area - particularly supermarkets who may have food and other items to donate to families in need. There are no charges associated with the food redistribution for our school. What premises does your project operate from? Solebay Primary Academy - a primary school in Mile End. How do you identify service users and their needs? We are aware of the personal circumstances of our pupils and their families - many are in need and we try to provide as much support as we can. The Bromley by Bow Food Pantry is a by referral, community based pantry which provides short-term access to low-cost food and other essentials to local individuals in need of support, while seeking to empower change in ways which matter to our service users and have long-term impact on their lives. The pantry is one of Tower Hamlets FOOD Stores and has been set up to support older residents/residents 65+ or 50+ with a disability, and who have either an E3 or E14 postcode to access food and other essential needs. Membership also includes access to Bromley by Bow Centre's services and activities and signposting/referral to other relevant organisations.
