The Community was founded by Anton Wallich-Clifford in 1963 and is a registered charity. We seek to work with those for whom no other provision exists and in a way that can give them back ownership of their lives.  In our residential house, day to day support in a community environment with a family atmosphere offers an accepting and befriending framework in which human relationships can be nourished.  On our outreach work we seek to meet people where they are on the streets of London, offering hot drinks, food and essentials whilst again, fostering relationships and trust.

We are a Tenants and Residents Association in Gospel Oak. As a TRA we are looking at ways to support our residents through the current cost of living crisis. We are opening our community rooms as a warm hub project with 4 other local community groups. Gospel Oak has been identified as one of the most deprived in the UK. In our 22-storey tower block we have a lot of single parents, elderly, disabled and vulnerable people, many of whom need help and support from the community.

Specifically, a female only complex needs accommodation service, working with vulnerable women at risk of or having had experience of complex trauma, domestic violence and sexual, physical and emotional abuse. As it is a non-catered service any food surplus donations received will be used by both individual service users and service staff to facilitate cooking activities for the residents.
