How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Pret A Manger has donated surplus food, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Peel Institute

London, UK

We are an active community centre who have been based in the heart of Clerkenwell, London, since 1898. We run a very active social club for adults, a youth club, family activities and a community-based mental health awareness project, Minds Matter Islington. We support local people to put on events, classes and other initiatives, such as the EC1 Echo, Clerkenwell's excellent community newspaper and we develop targeted events and activities in the community. We work closely with Islington Council, other community centres, voluntary organisations and local businesses to deliver a wide range of high quality services. We inform and in-put into local policy, where relevant and appropriate. Our work is guided by the belief that a connected community in Clerkenwell is of the utmost importance. We are really proud to be building a more connected Clerkenwell, one where everyone benefits from living here. We are seeking donations of non-perishable food items, baked goods, fruit & vegetables, ready meals, drinks and snacks.

Three Corners Adventure Playground

London, UK

We are Three Corners, an open-access adventure playground for children between 6-13 years old based in Islington, London. We work with a diverse range of children and young people, many of whom are from families experiencing high levels of deprivation. We are part of Awesome, a not-for-profit organisation, investing all its profit straight back into the services it provides, which in turn support some of the borough’s most vulnerable families. Awesome CIC run six out of twelve adventure playgrounds in Islington. Our playgrounds are run by some of the former Islington Council Play and Youth employees, who have been providing adventure play opportunities to children and young people since 1976.
