Pret A Manger

We feed more than 250 homeless people every week, as well as catering for vulnerable families with children. We organise soup kitchen, drop-in centres, women and children club, pension club. We hope to widen our project by hosting a dementia club for the residents.

We are a local Church wanting to help our Congregation and the Community. We operate from our church in 56 Stock Street, Paisley. Our service users are identified through the church and the community we are in. We offer Pastoral care, food and also clothing that we get donated, and we do not charge for anything we do: it is a free service. We are partnered with Pret A Manager, M&S, KFC and also Nando's. Charity’s objects are: (i) the advancement the christian religion. (ii) the prevention and relief of poverty. (iii) the advancement of citizenship and community development. (iv) the provision of recreational facilities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (v) the promotion of religious and racial harmony. (vi) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. in furtherance of the above objects, christ ambassadors community church of god will: (i) provide religious services, which will promote respect and compassion, as well as making people feel valued in the local community. (ii) provide educational activities which will promote other cultures in a way that helps them to integrate into the local community. (iii) provide educational activities which will promote literacy in the local community, which will help disadvantaged groups. (iv) provide educational activities which will promote greater understanding of christian values in the local community. (v) identify and support those in the community with difficulties due to age, ill health, disability or any other dilemma a person might face. (vi) provide activities and services aimed at improving the quality life for all as well as helping every individual feel valued in the local community.

At our community food group save share and support, We aim to help vulnerable and low income families in need around the Gloucestershire area. With a team of volunteers, we look at saving food waste which consists of fresh, chilled, ambient, frozen, tins, cans, pet and household items from local stores and supermarkets we then redistribute to the people that need it most. We also welcome donations. We understand that times are hard for a lot of people having to choose to eat or pay a bill so just by helping put food on the table could help brighten there day and help their financial strain. No one should go without. Along with this we are also doing our bit to help the environment. At save share and support we operate from a private residence which is registered with the food standard agency. People in need can find us through social media and at the moment word of mouth(we already have enquiries). We will identify service users by asking for proof of address and any supporting evidence that can show us they’re in need. Priority will go to these people (all kept confidential). Any food waste after will be offer to the local community via social media. Once service users are verified these people will be notified via what’s app of collections we have and will be Notified once ready for collection and collected straight away. This is a free service to help as said above and run by volunteers.
