We are a hostel for men with complex needs and experience of homelessness. When men are referred into our service, they are often not having their basic needs met. Our team support them to build the skills to live independently. This involves supporting residents to: -receive and maintain their benefits entitlements -register with health services (including mental health and drug and alcohol services) and receive treatment -build community through recreational activities, education and training, volunteering and work -develop strategies to manage finances, emotions and relationships As many of our residents find it difficult to remember to eat regular meals and/or prioritise spending for food we need support to meet these needs. We have also found cooking as a household every week as a fun way to bring everyone together and share skills and experiences.
