GAIL's Bakery Finsbury Park

We are a two form entry primary school and large nursery based in Finsbury Park, London. We want to make our school the best possible place it can be for our children. We want to decorate areas and develop our gardens and playgrounds. We want to develop more green spaces and get children involved in doing so. We also want to support our community and families through the cost of living crisis. We have a food bank within school which is very well utilised by many of our families.

Holy Trinity Foodbank Stroud Green is an independent foodbank based at Holy Trinity Church Hall on Stapleton Hall Road, London, N4. Founded in August 2013 to support individuals and families struggling to access/afford food, we offer food support for residents of Stroud Green (and adjacent areas). We work with local agencies and organisations to identify those needing help for themselves and their families, and also accept clients on a self-referral basis. We currently assist over 250 individuals per week. We are based at, and kindly hosted by, Holy Trinity Church Stroud Green. We serve clients of all faiths or none, and of all nationalities, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities. Everyone is welcome, and our team will always behave with respect, warmth, and courtesy. We are very fortunate to have a supportive local community which donates food, and also money so that we are able to afford the substantial quantity of food we need to buy to ensure that we can continue to offer help where it is needed. We are also keen to play our part in reducing food waste, which is a particularly difficult issue to see when we know so many lack nutritious food. We are grateful to the Felix Project and our supermarket partners via Fareshare and Neighbourly - Sainsbury's in Crouch Hill, Crouch End, Hornsey, & Wood Green; Aldi Harringay; Lidl Finsbury Park, Stroud Green, & Wood Green; Gail's Bakery Finsbury Park; and Waitrose Crouch End & Holloway - for donating their surplus and/or front-of-store donations. We are open on Sundays from 1.30-3.30pm, and can accept food/toiletry donations during this period and on Thursday mornings from 10-11am. The Mildmay community Centre is committed to serving the needs of the local community through engagement, participation and partnerships. We are based in London in the borough of Islington. We provide many activities and projects that support those experiencing isolation and poverty as well as working in partnership with local social enterprises and charitable organisations . We are currently striving to set up new projects that our community are asking for : such as a gardening growers project, a food bank, a stay and play and community cafe. Like all charities we are always on the look out for help, donations, volunteers and funding for projects. Due to the Covid 19 crisis we were closed to the public, but continued serving our community hot cooked vegan meals on a Thursday and supermarket food surplus on a Friday. Our volunteers deliver food to the door for the most vulnerable in our community. All donations are gratefully received. We are now re open for our local community to come back and get involved in our various services which include continuation of our food and hygiene bank and co op, After school club, community gardening club, coffee and crafts morning, Golden oldies bingo club, community kitchen and various other projects and services which support our local community. We are particularly focussed on the more vulnerable and isolated people in our community and those experiencing poverty and deprivation.
