Hays Reading - Abbey Square

At Shinfield St. Mary’s we actively develop a love of learning. We immerse our children in meaningful experiences as often as we can, encompassing academic, moral, social, physical and spiritual development. Our school is driven by our values – creativity and collaboration, hope and honesty, inclusion and individuality, love and loyalty, determination, respect, enjoyment and nurture. Our children are growing, harvesting and selling produce to raise money for local charities. They are being taught the fundamentals of self sufficiency and how to care for their environment.

The 84th Reading Scout group has been running for over 30 years and provides, Beaver, Cub, Scout and Sea Scout groups for over 100 children of different ages in Earley, Reading. We are a family friendly group and when young people join us, so do their families. We aim to include parents in as much as possible whether its helping out at weekly meetings, fundraising or just helping out with a bit of DIY at our Headquarters. Many of our adult leaders are also parents. We aim to make life an adventure for all of our members!
