The Community Fridge project is aimed at reducing food wastage amongst food retailers and householders in the local area, whilst simultaneously supporting the local community by providing food at no charge. In doing to the project also provides employment, training and volunteering opportunities for local people and builds trust and a spirit of sharing within the community. The Albrighton Community Fridge can be found in the Albrighton Community Centre, Camberwell. It is open to members of the public on from Tues - Thurs from 1pm. It works on an honesty basis. There is also a second fridge where food is held specifically for organisations and charities which help vulnerable people locally. Alongside the fridge can be found a Community Cooking kit. The kit operates like a library with items such as blenders, rice cookers, slow cookers and vacuum packs on loan for week-long periods. The library intends to help local households without the means or space to own such items. The items were picked for their ability to support with food waste reduction. It is the first of its kind and you can sign up at the Albrighton Centre reception. On occasion the fridge hosts cooking workshops and other skills sharing events. We are always looking for food donations from local retailers and individuals and volunteers to support with the running of the fridge. The Albrighton Community Fridge is a part of the Hubbub Community Fridge Network.

It's a vision most people picture when they think of childhood, but for our young people and children, it's a very different story when they come to us. They are often sad and angry about their experiences to date. Our aim is to help every one of them to feel seen, heard and know that someone cares about them - and for them to recognise their skills, strengths, self-worth and fulfil their potential. Our mission is to create brighter futures for children and young people. We do this by providing fostering, residential and support services where children and young people can feel safe and cared for. We support them to make positive relationships which give them the confidence to succeed. Set up in 1870, our approach is to ensure children and young people at St Christopher’s can be safe, loved, happy and achieve. We want them to succeed and realise their dreams. Every week we support 330 children and young people under 25. We specialise in: • Providing excellent homes where children and young people can develop their potential. • Working with girls affected by child sexual exploitation. • Supporting children who run away from care or are on a local authority's risk register. • Working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. • We lead the sector in adopting a social pedagogic approach to work with young people. • Our 'Staying Close' model that helps care leavers retain the key positive relationships in their lives during their transition to adulthood. We are recognized for our innovative projects like our model for girls affected by Child Sexual Exploitation where we keep them safe in their local community rather than shipping them away to a secure home 'for their own safety', our work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, working with young people affected by ‘County Lines’ and gang exploitation and trafficking.

We are St John’s Hospice. We are committed to celebrating and amplifying life, enabling people to live well for as long as possible. We provide quality, holistic care to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. We create moments of joy and compassion both inside and outside of our hospice and work to ensure that each of our patients and their families are supported through every aspect of their journey. As well as our Inpatient and Wellbeing Centre located in St John’s Wood, we work out in the community, in people’s homes, providing care to more than 4,000 people across North London. Our hospice first opened its doors in 1984 with 10 inpatient beds in St John’s Wood. In the over 40 years that have followed our community and services have grown, enabling us to support more than 4,000 people each year.
