WeCare Ministry operates from our community centre located at Tesco car park woolwich. The premises include a main hall for food distribution, private rooms for counselling and support services, and storage facilities for donations and surplus food. We also operate pop-up outreach locations in partnership with local churches and community hubs. We identify service users through referrals from local authorities and faith organisations. We also have an open-door policy where individuals can self-refer. Upon first contact, we carry out a basic needs assessment to understand their immediate challenges—be it food insecurity, homelessness risk, or social isolation—and tailor our support accordingly. In addition to food support, WeCare Ministry provides emotional support, faith-based counselling, clothing distribution, financial hardship guidance, and signposting to mental health, housing, and employment services. We also run seasonal community outreach events such as winter care packages and feed the homeless every Tuesdays. All services provided by WeCare Ministry are completely free of charge. We are a donation-funded and volunteer-driven initiative committed to supporting vulnerable individuals without financial barriers. WeCare Ministry collects surplus food from several local supermarkets, bakeries, and wholesalers who support our mission. These partners include Greggs and local supermarkets, and we follow strict food safety standards when handling and redistributing donations. WeCare Ministry has been featured in local community newsletters, online news platforms, and church bulletins. Coverage has highlighted our impact during the COVID-19 pandemic, holiday food drives, and collaborative events with other community partners.
