UOS is a volunteer-led charity that aims to use education, compassion, and collaboration to end homelessness in the UK and beyond. We empower individuals, companies and public organisations to be a part of the change, transforming lives and growing a utopian community, together.

We are a Community Hall run by the Tenants and Residents Association of China Walk Estate, a council estate with many people on a low income. We run a food bank on Tuesday mornings to provide food for people on the estate and the surrounding community, including homeless people. The food bank is open to everyone. We also provide food when we can to elderly people who meet at the hall for coffee mornings, bingo and sewing groups. Currently we receive a delivery of food from City Harvest and we also collect food from Brixton Hub but our numbers are growing rapidly so we would love to increase our surplus food supply. We do not charge anything and are happy to help anyone in the community who needs help. We provide tea, coffee and snacks at our Tuesday morning foodbank as well as a warm place to sit. We are not a registered charity, just a Community Hall. We do not charge anything for our food and any food we would receive via Neighbourly would be free of charge. The hall offers many activities to the community including free of charge Aikido, Yoga for Mental Health and Chair Pilates. Coffee morning and bingo and sewing classes are provided for a very small charge. We also put on free parties for people in the community and run subsidised coach trips to the seaside and to Christmas Markets.

NAZ is the sexual health charity dedicated to people experiencing better sexual health. We do this because there’s a big gap in the sexual health outcomes of Black, Asian and Global Majority communities compared to the general population. Everything we do works to reverse this trend. vision is a world where there is sexual health equality for BAME communities, and where our background, beliefs and socioeconomic status do not define or limit the care we receive. We seek to achieve sexual health outcomes parity for BAME populations by delivering improved sexual and reproductive health for marginalised groups through • Early HIV and STI detection: Community based Rapid HIV/BBV screening • Counselling: To improve psychological wellbeing • Reduced isolation: HIV Peer support groups • Advocacy –Casework & Referral for people living with HIV and LGBTQ+ communities. • Policy – Sharing the voices of those with lived experience to shape policy and service provision Joyful Noise Choir is a choir for people living with HIV and NAZ Joyful Noise Choir (JNC) is a community choir made up of people living with HIV. First set up in 2013 JNC has delivered to date 23 10 week seasons JNC not only serves as a community for people living with HIV, but as an uplifting and inspiring music tool to help end the stigma and prejudice associated with HIV. JNC transforms lives and creates a life changing space whilst delivering both physical and mental health and wellbeing benefits. JNC has developed into one of our most vibrant services for positive people in London.
