How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Pret A Manger has donated surplus food, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Foodcycle White City Primary

Edcity, UK

FoodCycle is a national charity that builds communities through the power of good food. FoodCycle is based upon the simple idea that waste and poverty should not co-exist and that something powerful can be achieved by cooking and eating together. Every week, volunteers across the country reclaim surplus food destined for the bin. This food is instead cooked into healthy, tasty three-course community meals for vulnerable people. FoodCycle White City Primary is part of our new schools programme that will serve free meals after school to children and families.

Scrawly

London, UK

We believe that every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. Our mission is to invest in community support in order to uplift and empower all generations together. We do that, by creating projects and providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas. Scrawly has been running since the beginning of the lockdown in 2020, when we started providing practical donations to key workers, families, community and charities. We continiously support on an ongoing basis local churches, homeless kitchens, youth organisations, as well as distribution of surplus throughout the communities accross London.

Kensington & Chelsea Foodbank

London, UK

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
