How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Danone UK & Ireland has donated volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Caterpillar Project at Doddington and Rollo Community Roof Garden

London, UK

Our exceptional 1/2 acre community garden farm behind Battersea Park, secluded amongst council blocks, atop a converted car park. We’re growing it to be a pinnacle of People & Planet across the community of London, that we can all turn grey city spaces to green. A garden farm of colour & flavour to slow down and express oneself… Bringing everyone together from the young to the old, taking small bites at a time to make a difference.

Cultivate London Ltd

London, UK

Established in 2010, Cultivate London is a west London-based social enterprise that employs horticultural activities to: support local people into sustained employment or education; to improve the well-being of our community members; and to improve the physical environment & social cohesion of local communities. We deliver impact for local young people & residents. We operate a Gardening Services social enterprise, comprising the following activities: 1. Commercial Gardening Services: offering gardening services to corporate clients, property developers & local authorities in London. Income generated through our commercial activities is ploughed back into supporting our charitable work. 2. Community Gardening: we have created – and currently manage – 7 community growing spaces in West & South London. In 2015 CL worked with local volunteers to develop our flagship community kitchen garden – Salopian Garden – on a formerly derelict site in Isleworth. The site is now a tranquil & beautiful oasis of green in the heart of Hounslow. We work with a range of community partners to deliver a variety of workshops here. We have three main objectives: 1) to act as a resource for local people by providing work-based training & activities 2) to advance the education of the public in horticulture, local food production & sustainable living practices 3) to improve the physical environment & cohesion of communities & area in London In recognition of our efforts, we were named the 2012 Observer Food Monthly’s “Producer of the Year” and received the 2013 Hounslow Business Award for “Best Business for Apprenticeships and Employment for Young People”. We were also “Highly Commended” in the same category at the 2014 London Business Awards. Further, we have been featured in a number of local and national papers including the Metro, the Sunday Telegraph, and were recently highlighted in a report by Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming, called Future Farmers.
