REHOBOTH COMMUNITY OUTREACH CLUB located 1-18 Allwood Close, Sydenham SE26 4JP is a charity and it has been entered onto the Register of Charities with the Registered Charity Number 1168822. Rehoboth Community Outreach club started reaching out to vulnerable families in 2013, offering befriending, parenting & life skills training. Over time the services evolved expanding to offer mentoring to young people, employment skills training and a food bank. In March 2014 Rehoboth started receiving requests for support with addressing the increasing issue of food poverty amongst the single homeless living in hostels and the local street homeless, this saw the launch of the Community Lunch Club. Initially the lunch club was feeding 20 people every Monday with a 2 course hot meal. But this number quickly grew to 150 people a week when Rehoboth partnered with Miriam Lodge providing meals to their most vulnerable homeless residents. The partnership has expanded and Rehoboth community outreach club “The Lunch Club” now deliver 200 meals every Monday across 2 hostels. In addition, we have some homeless people living locally in the community who walk-in and collect their meals. The feeding programme also provides a soup social, with home cooked vegetable and chicken soup with rolls to the residents in the hostels on a Friday. The generosity of our local donors business and others in neighbouring community, with financial donations from the church membership and individuals, make it possible to provide our services free to vulnerable individuals and families. The community outreach service is facilitated by a team of 25 volunteers who cook, serve food, clean, deliver the meals, and provide the befriending, mentoring and training activities. Rehoboth hopes to double its feeding programme to 300 meals a week by the end of 2018; to support at least 50 homeless people to capacity build their employment and life skills, enhancing their potential of accessing employment, education and training opportunities. The Rehoboth Community Outreach Club aims are to contribute to breaking the generational cycle of poverty and deprivation within families, inspire hope & healing in the heart and soul of vulnerable individuals and communities and encourage peace, unity and respect across generations. We seek and appreciate further financial, time and resource donations that enable us to meet our vision of UK communities free from food poverty and benefiting from sustained upward social and economic mobility for everyone. We are called Connecting All Communities, a not for profit organisation based in East London of Hackney. CAC aims to tackle segregation and persuade community cohesion to celebrate our similarities and accept our differences to understand and to apperciate individual uniqueness. We are have been providing food parcels and cultural hot meals to residents in and around Hackney. Since the cost of living has increased the demand of our services triples. We would be really greateful to have wonderful volunteers who are able to help us to help others in many different ways such as collecting and delivery our food parcels and cultural hot meals to people who are unable to come to our centres. We also be thankful for volunteers who can help us work behind the seen at the confort of their own homes Although we are registered at Pembury Community centre, we are delivering most of our activities, programs and projects at Banister House community centre in Homerton area. Our work is not only around food but there are many different tasks that we deliver everyday. We are mainly working from home on voluntery based. JCT Community Management is a community interest company that provides services for the most needy in our community, whether that be vulnerable young people,the elderly, people in danger of getting mixed up in gangs or frustrated parents. We offer support, advice and signposting when we can't provide direct help through comprehensive partnerships with many organisations within our community, one being Waste not Want not Battersea a registered CIO charity who already supply hot food and shopping to the local community. During this uncertain period we have extended our reach by looking to support people who are in isolation or are just unable to get out of their home, with food drops, offers to pick up medication or just a friendly chat for those who feel isolated.
