ENCIRCLES' Mission: Feed the Homeless and Hungry in the Salisbury area.

Salisbury, UK

ENCIRCLES was established in April 2019 as a non-profit charity. What makes ENCIRCLES so SPECIAL is that it's administered and operated solely by volunteers and all the food is donated. The charity is set-up with a Board of Trustees providing oversight and direction to a team of Coordinators, with each Coordinator being responsible for one of the ENCIRCLES’ activities. These activities include: - Distributing food, each evening to the Street Homeless, our friends living in Supported Accommodation and even some of our friends who are experiencing financial concerns. The food is provided by the local companies of Salisbury which supply us with their hot and cold food at the end of each working day. While throughout the winter months, local Churches supply us with hot, filling soup. - Cooking, packaging and distributing a full Sunday Roast Takeaway meal and Family food Parcels. - Providing sleeping bags, clothing, sanitary products to those in need.

Our accommodation & structured support pathway is designed to foster the opportunity to regain independence & develop sustainable resilience necessary for good citizenship. Staff work with homeless clients to enable them to stabilise their situation & mentor them to achieve their agreed personal goals, increase & restore self-confidence, learn new skills, address addictions, debts, physical or mental health needs, & achieve employment or meaningful occupation.

The Parochial Church Council Of The Ecclesiastical Parish Of Bemerton, Salisbury

Salisbury, UK

Our main reason for signing up to Neighbourly is because we run a Community Fridge & Larder. St Michael's Community Centre is located on Bemerton Heath which is a large council housing estate. The Community Fridge & Larder is open Monday to Friday and we welcome up to 25 individuals, couples or families each day. We are supported with donations from Tesco, Waitrose and Co-op but we are seeking additional partners to help provide a consistency of produce available. This is especially the case with school holidays approaching. We are an inclusive church and we are here to serve the whole community without seeking any commitment from them to attend any services or asking them if we can pray with them. As a church of england church, we provide buildings and facilities for christian worship and teaching and opportunities for bible study and fellowship with others. we conduct marriage, baptism and funeral services for those who live within the ecclesiastical parish or have qualifying connections with it. we provide pastoral care and encourage community life to flourish throughout the whole parish
