How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Pret A Manger has donated surplus food, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

YMCA Brunel Group - Youth Work

Bath, UK

The activities of the YMCA Brunel Group currently include an international hostel, health and fitness, day nurseries, childrens and youth work programmes. Our youth work welcomes anyone aged between 10 and 19 years (up to 25 years old with Special Educational Needs); some of these young people can be vulnerable and/or have additional needs. We provide safe environments where every young person’s view is considered. We operate in 8 youth clubs, 4 Young Carers groups, project & outreach work across Mendip & South Somerset; including Coleford, Frome, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Street and Yeovil. We ensure continued engagement and participation in planned programmes of positive activities and issue-based work; relevant to the needs and development of individuals and peer groups. All of our activities are designed to develop social and life skills, increase confidence and resilience, and help young people move away from any harmful behaviours. Our Youth Club programmes are delivered through non-formal educational activities which combine enjoyment, challenge and learning. We want young people to develop hobbies that will last a lifetime, enrich their lives and the lives of others. We run inclusive sessions where everyone is welcome.
