How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Help Bristol’s Homeless

Bristol, UK

Our mission is to change the face of homelessness in Bristol. Our aim to petition the Bristol City Council to bring about real change to our incredible city. Through the support of our trustees, staff and volunteers our vision is to develop a site with ten shipping containers, converted in to self contained studio flats, providing short term emergency accommodation, until a service user is found a permanent home. We would provide ongoing support as necessary. We believe that having a home is not an entitlement, it is a RIGHT. Everybody should have the opportunity to live in a place they can call their own. We are a non-profit organisation operational for 6 weeks. On a weekly basis our team of volunteers take food, drink, clothing, rucksacks and sleeping bags to locations. You can visit our website or Facebook page to follow our progress.

Barton Hill Lunch (St Luke's Lunch)

Bristol, UK

During the school holidays we offer a free meal and fun activities for low income families living in Barton Hill. The school holidays can be a challenging time for families that rely on free school meals. The extra strain of added food costs, activities and childcare can mean hard working parents struggle to provide nutritious meals for their children. We offer a little light relief for Barton Hill families during the school holidays. We now also offer a free After School Family Cafe, where local families come for a hot drink and toast, and to play in our space.
