The Food Centre is a church led, community focused project that enables individuals and families to be supported during financial crisis. We provide dried, tinned and, when available, fresh food which is donated by individuals, schools, churches and local businesses. Our passion is to provide food with love and encouragement to those struggling within our communities. OPENING HOURS It is open every Monday (except Bank Holidays) at King’s Community Church (KCC) from 10am to 1pm. It also opens a Food Pantry every Thursday at KCC from 10am to 12.30pm. The Food Centre is supported by “Churches Together ” in the Southern Parishes area and has various food collection points which are based at KCC, Aldi, Lidl, M &S and the Co Op in Hedge End and has collection points in a number of different churches. REFERRAL We have about 60 different referral agencies that include local church leaders, Doctors/GPs, children services, vulnerable adult services, CAB at Hedge End or Eastleigh offices and primarily Eastleigh B/C who are in contact with the local community. Their role is to contact the food centre to inform us of personal details and needs. This is done by electronic referrals or by phone to the designated mobile number. FOOD DONATIONS The food centre requires regular food donations and these can be brought to KCC from Monday to Friday 09.00-16.30 or on a Sunday morning from 09.30-12.00. Please put the food on the shelving at our donation point near the main entrance. RCCG Place Of Grace in the course of advancing the propagation of the gospel and reducing poverty, make food, clothing and other daily essentials available to the homeless, orphans, widow, widowers, fatherless, motherless and the destitute in Eastleigh and her environs. Although, we are in Eastleigh, Hampshire, we cover areas such as Southampton, Botley, and Hedge-End etc. Our food bank & clothing project has tremendously assisted us to bring people together in a conducive atmosphere and provide food that can be eaten or taken away for those in question and their families. In addition, the essence of our project our is to provide the needed support and counselling by experienced caregivers who can signpost the homeless and destitute in our area to ensure they have roof over their heads. This will enable more people to benefit from the service and support families who are on tight budgets and are keen to provide healthy food options for their children.

Wickham Community Centre is a vibrant and busy community centre in rural Hampshire. We are developing a range of community projects to enhance the lives of local people. These include: • The Wickham Pantry - run by volunteers to provide discount food to its members with the aim of food justice for all. • Wickham Community Garden - an oasis of calm, providing gardening and learning opportunities and produce to village residents • Wickham Community Fridge - saving food from landfill • Meon Valley Tots - play and stay activities for parents and young children • Monday Lunch club - a monthly gathering for older residents • Wickham Flicks - a monthly cinema club, a world away from the multi-screen experience The centre is a charity and run by local people, for local people. Its facilities provide local groups and businesses a venue at an affordable price. The centre offers a wide range of opportunities, from crafts to education to sports and more, all locally and not for profit.
