How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Hosting Hope

Leven, UK

Community venture Hosting Hope is run entirely by volunteers and provides a three course lunch, on the last Sunday of every month, completely free of charge and open to all in a drop-in basis. This takes place in Linton Lane Centre in the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy, one of the poorest communities within Scotland. Attracting in the region of 50-60 people of all ages, including young families and the more isolated within the community, this number swells to 70-80 at its annual Christmas Day lunch. On this day, as well as a full traditional Christmas meal, guests are treated to entertainment and receive small gifts. Hosting Hope is run entirely on donations and support from Linton Lane community centre.
