How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

EK Community Food Bank

Glasgow, UK

We are a network of local churches aiming to help individuals and families who are facing financial difficulty. Food packages are given out freely without question or judgement. Giving out emergency food is essential but, for us, it is just the start of what we do. We provide bags of food for as long as someone needs help while we seek to support them in improving their situation and seeing them lift themselves out of poverty. Our cafes provide community for our clients and additional support. We offer debt advice and money courses. We run a hugely successful job club supporting people back into work and provide the unemployed with digital access and support for their job searching.

Hillhouse Link Tenants and Residents Association

Hamilton, UK

We currently run a weekly café called the Hillstop café, where we offer a range of hot meals and snacks at a minimum or zero charge to residents who live in Hillhouse, Udston and Burnbank some of the local authorities and Scotland's most deprived areas. We also provide a free food larder where residents can pick up essential staple items. We wholly rely on donations to do what we do. We also provide access to clothing, particularly school uniforms to help mitigate financial pressure of many families
