How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Spring Charity

Northampton, UK

Helping Our Community Thrive and Grow! Our team at The Spring Charity offer community services for local families to gain opportunities to improve their well-being and outcomes in life. We work to benefit vulnerable families with children aged 0-5 years in the local community and wider Northampton town area. Our charity is based in Castle Ward, which is in the heart of Northampton (Spring Boroughs, Semilong, St James, The Mounts). Some of our families experience financial hardship, and social, health or economic issues. Parents can self-refer, or be signposted by health services, other professionals, schools, or charities in the area. We hold bi-weekly Stay and Play parent and child drop-in sessions which are open to all families with preschool-aged children. These sessions help us to make contact and build relationships, so we can best meet our family’s needs. We are currently working on setting up a number of projects focussing on well-being and healthy living, such as cookery groups for families and offering a warm space for local residents. As you can imagine our provision and the services we offer to our community are solely funded by charitable donations and project-specific funding which we have placed a bid for. We would be grateful for financial support from local residents and businesses and we are always keen to accept donations of good quality children's clothing and equipment e.g. car seats, buggies etc, maternity clothing and toys. We can also consider offering, subject to the appropriate safeguarding checks, opportunities for volunteers to gain some experience prior to moving into paid employment
