How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Canley Food Hub at Canley Community Centre

Coventry, UK

Canley Food Hub at Canley Community Centre supports local residents and families experiencing food poverty, financial hardship, and isolation across Canley and surrounding areas of Coventry. We provide affordable food support alongside community activities, wellbeing sessions, ESOL opportunities, youth activities, older adult groups, and welcoming community spaces. The food hub currently supports around 80 households and demand continues to grow due to ongoing cost of living pressures. We work with families, older adults, vulnerable residents, and people from diverse community backgrounds to help reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and strengthen local community connections. Alongside food support, we also provide opportunities for people to connect through community meals, afternoon tea events, volunteering, and practical support activities. We regularly work with local volunteers, churches, and community partners to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where people feel supported and valued. We are currently seeking additional support through donations, volunteers, and community partnerships to help us continue expanding our services and meeting increasing local need.
