FoodCycle Peckham
London, UK
FoodCycle runs volunteer-powered community projects across the UK – all working to reduce food poverty and social isolation by serving tasty, nutritious meals to vulnerable people. Since we started cooking in May 2009, our incredible volunteers have served over 125,000 meals made using over 146,000kg of surplus food – the equivalent saving of 657,000kg CO2 emissions. Opening at the start of 2015, we at FoodCycle Peckham now serve around 100 guests each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at our home just off Rye Lane. Our community meals are open to all and brought to you with the support of All Saints Peckham, on Blenheim Grove. We're working with Sainsbury's and other local suppliers to create delicious meals in a wonderful location!
