How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

West End Impact

Morecambe, UK

Reacting to Crisis and Rebuilding Lives West End Impact is at the heart of the community in Morecambe's west end. We have been supporting those who need it, from all walks of life, for the past 20 years, and have a great reputation for making positive change happen in people's lives. We provide services such as, a foodbank, hot meals, a parish nurse, advice and guidance, support completing forms and benefit claims, mental health support, CBT courses, AQA qualifications and a consistent presence of unprejudiced help in our community. Our busiest service is our foodbank. We provide vital support for people in food poverty. Giving a food parcel for between 40-60 individuals or families every week; no questions asked or personal data recorded. Our food parcels consist of everyday essentials, and enough food for 3 days, and cost around £20 each. There is no limit to how many parcels someone can have in a certain time period and no one is asked to prove they are deserving. As we get to know people who come regularly, we see if there are underlying issues causing the need for food parcels - such as Universal Credit problems, sanctions, homelessness, debt, utility bill problems and much more. We then build a trusting relationship, and can offer the help they need through the other services West End Impact offers. Our Food bank has become, for many of our clients, their first point of contact with West End Impact, and the beginning of their journey to getting the help they really need.
