A) the advancement of religion, and in particular the christian faith, primarily in livingston and also throughout scotland and the rest of the world by all means consistent with: i) the teachings of the christian bible, including (without prejudice to the foregoing generality) worship, ministry, mission, witness, prayer, fellowship; and ii) the declaration of principle (annex part 1). b) the advancement of education; and c) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, including (without prejudice to the foregoing generality) community service and the provision of activities and facilities for the community, the relief of poverty and other social needs, including the support of individuals and other charitable organisations and agencies involved in any or all of these.

We offer emergency food to adults & children living in crisis and poverty in Airdrie and the surrounding areas. We are open 3 times per week at different locations across Airdrie to help local people. In addition to receiving emergency food supplies, people are welcomed with a bowl of soup and a roll as well as tea/coffee & a biscuit. We also have the Citizens Advice Bureau on hand to help with any financial worries. We work with a range of referral agencies including the Citizens Advice, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and local charities who will refer people to us for help.

The objects for which the group is established are: a) the prevention or relief of poverty in shotts and surrounding areas in particular but not exclusively by providing emergency food supplies to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty; b) to provide services to people who have need of them by reason of their age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by signposting them to additional support services.
