How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Coalisland & District Community Food Bank

Dungannon, UK

Coalisland & District Community Food Bank was established to ‘address and help alleviate Food Poverty’ in the area. ‘A person is considered to be in Food Poverty if they have no food and no money with which to buy food after meeting their financial obligations’ (Rent, Electricity, Heating, Rates). The food bank is committed to providing short term relief for residents of Coalisland and district. Foodbank Volunteers take the time to listen and offer support where possible. They are specially trained to know about local services and offer practical guidance so that people have access to the right support, helping them to break out of crisis. We also help to support people in any other ways that we can and our aim is to provide non-judgemental support at the point of crisis. We know that anyone can find themselves at crisis point for a number of different reasons. Our Volunteers will offer advice and contact details for external groups in our area which may benefit and assist people.
