Billingham & Stockton Borough Foodbank

Billingham, UK

We don’t think anyone in the Billingham and Stockton communities should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. There are 4 foodbank centres - Billingham, Newtown and Norton so food can be accessed easily over 5 days. People are referred to us by front-line agencies who give vouchers which we exchange for food. They can also come to us for advice via 'Help through Crisis' from a citizens advice representative, refreshments, lunch, clothes/coats/school uniforms/baby stuff and household items. . What's more, we run a fantastic cooking course for cooking on a budget and a Job club for those searching for employment. We are able to donate fresh veg, fruit, bread and cakes etc that have been donated as 'end of day' produce. Your support is helping us to change lives. Thank you!
