How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Resound FoodBank, Mangotsfield

Bristol, UK

Resound FoodBank provides food and household items to those in need in Mangotsfield, Emmersons Green, Staple Hill, Downend and the surrounding area. Our clients are referred to us by local support agencies such as the Local Authority, Housing agencies, Medical practitioners, Schools and Churches We rely solely on donations from the community, primarily food but also some financial donations, and without them, we would be unable to provide the service that we do. We provide enough food for at least three days for all members of the family living at the clients address plus toiletries and household/laundry cleaning products. We also provide dog and cat food when required. Additionally, we provide a 'Sign Posting 'service where we try to ensure that the client is getting, or knows where to get, the advice and/or help needed to move on from the crisis that has necessitated the need to use a FoodBank. We opened in September 2013 as part of the Yate and Chipping Sodbury FoodBank which was part of the Trussell Trust Network and in September 2019 we merged with the North Bristol FoodBank which covered Filton, Horfield, Southmead and surrounding areas.
