Over the past eight years, Community Needs Foundation (CNF) has worked very hard to build relationships with some of the most deprived and underprivileged individuals in Royal Borough of Greenwich. We operate our foodbank from a community venue in Abbey Wood, South East London, where we sort, and distribute food donations and essential household items to individuals and families in need which includes; family with children, older adults, unemployment/low income, No Recourse to Public Funds. Our service provides a safe and welcoming environment for service users to access support and advice. As a community foodbank, our greatest need is sustainable funding to enable us to continue serving our growing community effectively. We are seeking support to help cover: Core organisational running costs, including rent, utilities, insurance, equipment, and essential operational expenses. Staff salaries, ensuring we can retain experienced staff to coordinate our services, support volunteers, manage referrals, and provide consistent assistance to those in need. Programme funding to expand and sustain our community initiatives, including emergency food provision, culturally appropriate food packages, our Coffee Chat for Over 60s, cookery and healthy eating sessions, and other health and wellbeing activities. Continued food donations, including fresh, frozen, ambient, and culturally appropriate food, to ensure we can provide nutritious food parcels and respond to increasing demand throughout the year. Food and essential supplies, to meet increasing demand from individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Volunteer recruitment and training, helping us maintain a strong volunteer workforce to deliver our services safely and effectively. With increasing demand for our services and rising operating costs, long-term funding is essential to ensure we can continue supporting vulnerable individuals and families while responding to the changing needs of our local community.

St Johns Community Centre was established in 1968. it is a voluntary sector organisation firmly rooted in the local community. Our Centre is home to many intercultural and inter-generational groups. We promote diversity by bringing together people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We also support those who endeavour to make the Royal Docks area a stronger, healthier and happier place to live for all with a focus on the environment and improving biodiversity. St Johns Community Centre runs a number of services to support the entire community from toddlers up to our senior community members in their 90's. Food Hub We run a FoodHub 4 days per week supporting over 125 families weekly with food parcels, which is an essential service helping families to cope amidst the cost-of-living-crisis. St Johns Community Centre provides essential wrap around services at the foodbank including benefit advice and mental health support in partnership with Newham Talking Therapies. Well-being services St Johns Community Centre is a wellbeing hub offering a safe space to the community aiming to improve social connections, encourage engagement, increase resilience, improve mental and emotional health and reduce loneliness and isolation. St Johns Community Centre runs friendships groups for over 50's, Line dancing, a walking group, c, a women Wellbeing art group and a mens mental health support group. All groups are requested to pay £2 donation. St Johns Community Centres wellbeing gardening group look after and maintained a number of green spaces in the local community and regenerate green spaces that have been neglected and abandoned, increases more access to green spaces in the community. St Johns Community Centre also hosts a number of events and party's through the year for the community to bring people together and celebrate our rich and diverse community.

The charity aims to provide support to people in woolwich who are in financial, mental and/or physical difficulty through a number of on site services such as a food bank, counselling and provision of hygiene care. the charity provides an area where community members can gather without conflict or judgement.
