Argos Walthamstow High Street (Inside Sainsbury's)

We are a multi-award-winning, volunteer-led Community Interest Company: a small team of unpaid volunteers providing around 200 meals a week, about 10,400 a year, for people sleeping rough or vulnerable across London. We have gone out every week since 2020, with zero profit and nobody paid. Current appeal: we are raising £9,995 for a bigger van for food deliveries and outreach, so we can stop turning down vital food support. We will trade in our old van, and the appeal stays open until we reach it. Use the donate link on this page. Our work has two strands: • Street outreach: trained volunteers give out hot meals, clothing and care bags (toiletries, food, socks, underwear and more), offer mental health support and signpost people to shelter, health and recovery services. • Food redistribution: we collect surplus food from Sainsbury's and M&S through Neighbourly and deliver it to homeless shelters and food banks. More than 45,000 meals have been collected through Neighbourly so far. Our organisation base all Borough in England for homelessness, Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Domestic violence, Youth and Adult in needs. We provide accommodation for homelessness through our Outreach workers and through Borough Councils. We provides our clients food as-well as daily needs through assessments and key work meeting by allocating support worker/ project worker as the person to speak with and support them at all time. Our Organisation provides everything needed for their day to day of their recovery including benefits and housing needs. There is Housing benefits for individual when qualify for accommodations under our organisation which staff will apply for, to pay direct to Landlord.
