How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Levenmouth Foodbank Community Support Project

Leven, UK

The main activity of our project is the distribution of food to people in need. This activity takes place on a Monday and Friday afternoon. To do this we partner with other agencies who will refer people to the foodbank. We run two community cafes, one on Tuesday mornings offering free breakfasts (bacon rolls, cereals, fresh fruit, tea and coffee) and one on Thursday afternoons offering free lunch (soup, filled rolls, pudding and tea/coffee) to those in our community who are in need of our help. The surplus food helps people with food which is especially helpful during the cost of living crisis. We also work with the local primary schools offering a 2 hour course on numeracy, budgeting and citizenship. All our services are free of charge.
