Our well-established Community Food Larder, based in Lochee at Whorterbank, provides free and low-cost groceries and is: • Open to everyone • No referral required (or details needed to be given access). • People have the ability to choose what items they require. • Sustainable middle ground between traditional foodbanks and supermarkets The aim is to promote dignity, ownership and choice to our members, and hope that by offering a larder to our community we are supporting other organisations, as well as reaching out to others in our community. We also run a friendly, sociable café area where members can enjoy hot and cold refreshments as well as access support services, such as: • Energy advice, citizens advice, welfare rights and more… We hope we have created a friendly, non-judgemental environment where people feel safe and comfortable to ask for help when needed.

We are a charity in Alloa offering 'practical help for positive change'. We provide a safe environment for everyone to come and spend time. In particular, we help a lot of vulnerable and homeless people from our community. We have a foodbank, a home starter pack, The Soup Pot, a community cafe and an annual school uniform bank. Lornshill Academy are in the process of creating a fully functioning department which will be up and running with practical food activities for all pupils on our return after school closures. By subsidising our budget with food donations, we will be able to provide an enhanced curriculum for young people and break down the barriers to education which can be caused by lack of funding.
