Argos Cardiff Bay

Non-perishable, in-date food is donated by the public in a range of places, such as schools, churches, businesses, supermarket collection points and libraries across the Vale of Glamorgan. It is then sorted by volunteers and packed into emergency food parcels to be given to people in need. Every day people in the UK go hungry for a variety of reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. A simple box of food makes a big difference, with foodbanks helping prevent crime, housing loss, family breakdown and mental health problems

Through our Community Store 'Coffee & Cakes' in Birchgrove we raise much needed funds to provide Hot, Chilled and Frozen Meals to People in a crisis together with Breakfast Boxes to Children in Poverty and small grants to victims of Domestic abuse and the Elderly in Fuel Poverty. We are trying to raise the much needed funds to install a Community Kitchen to help us achieve our goals. We aim to help 8,000 individuals with a Hot Nutricious meal for ech day they are in crisis. We have seen a massive influx of people during this Pandemic who require our meals, in order to feed thier household and cope during periods of No Pay, Reduced Salaries or Benefit Sanctions/Delays
