Re-Store is a drop-in for people with accommodation or financial issues. It is held in the church hall between 11.00 and Noon on Mondays and Wednesdays. We provide food, clothing, bedding and crockery as required by our callers, we give what we can and if there are things that we don't have they are referred to The Christ Church Warehouse, electrical equipment is tested there so they can often help out people who don't have anything. If people can make a £1 donation that is great but many are unable to do this. We are funded by private donations. Numbers are fairly stable at the moment with around 35-40 calls per week in the two one- hour slots. We have good supplies from both Fare Share in Hull and Tesco in Bridlington. Our aim is to liaise more closely with the families- work based in the Hub as some people are still loathe to come to Doorstep as they feel they should be able to manage and don’t like to ask. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who are dedicated to helping out each week and where they can. It is our hearts to help those who are lost and broken in life. We are hear to listen to them and talk if they need to. sometimes what people need is just some communication and understanding.

Emmanuel Church believes strongly in the importance of supporting the homeless and families struggling to feed themselves. Consequently we provide regular meals for these groups and keep a small food store in order to provide food parcels. Due to the cost of living crisis we have seen an increased demand for these meals. We used to cater for 10-15 guests at the homeless meal and now we are feeding 20-25 people each week. We are struggling to keep our food store stocked due to an increased demand for food parcels. We rely on donations to fund these ministries. We would be very grateful for any help you can give to help us to continue this vital work.

The New Pasture Lane Community Centre (NPL) supports communities of all ages in Bridlington, providing a safe space that creates positive, caring relationships based on trust and respect. Support includes providing a range of general support and activities such as, luncheon clubs, a social supermarket, parent and baby sessions and a host of trips and social events to build a stronger community amongst the residents. The centre is dedicated to alleviating food poverty, fostering dreams, and nurturing unity among its local community. This is a place where laughter mingles with tears, and cohesion binds everyone together, creating community spirit. Through every shared meal and heartfelt embrace, NPL open the gate to a world where no one feels weak or alone. The main differences we aim to make are: • Providing a safe, happy, caring, secure and positive environment for the community to come together, build social cohesion through social gatherings, breaking down the barriers to loneliness and isolation. • Providing affordable, convenient, dependable services and events to help all residents address challenges, build resilience, and improve mental health and wellbeing. • Enabling all residents to develop their capabilities and learning experiences through volunteering opportunities, improving their employability chances. • Maintaining a strong foundation of partnerships with the community to ensure quality referral pathways to address bespoke needs, providing help, support, and hope to those facing crisis, and giving them the right support.
