How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Bridge Church Retford - Foodbank

Retford, UK

Bags of Help is aimed at providing food and non food essentials to anyone in need in Retford and surrounding areas. These items are available for collection on a weekly basis from the Bridge Church, Bridgegate, Retford and are provided free of charge. Currently we are open Tuesday between 9 - 1pm. Anyone collecting food is able to choose their own items, with the exception of those in limited supply, based on number of household members. A record is maintained of numbers of provided at people collecting food each session and the number of household members who receive the food to monitor the number of persons using this service. Users are not means tested but we do ask for some indication as to why they need to use this service for our records. No one is turned away. There are up to 11 volunteers in total at present helping to provide this service. Bridge Church Retford does not profit from these projects and is run totally by volunteers and donations from the public or local businesses.
