Argos Galashiels

TD1 Youth Hub exists so every child and young person can find their place, their people, and their next step. We are the sole community youth work provider in Galashiels, supporting young people aged 10 to 26 across the Scottish Borders through trusted relationships, safe spaces, and the right support at the right time. Based at 47a Ladhope Vale in Galashiels, we work with around 300 young people each year through open-access drop-ins, targeted projects, and 1:1 support. Many of those we work with live in Gala-Langlee-Central, the most deprived data zone in the Scottish Borders. Our values, Trusted, Responsive, Inclusive, Empowering and Supportive, guide everything we do. Our work includes: Drop-ins five evenings a week, plus lunchtime and Friday afternoon sessions, where young people can get a hot meal, talk to a trusted adult, and feel they belong Detached streetwork meeting young people where they are 1:1 support, mentoring and transitions work School-based youth work at Galashiels Academy, including Thrive and SCQF-accredited youth work courses Early Steps for young parents aged 16 to 26 Stepping Stones, Engage and Tuesday Group for younger and neurodivergent young people Chromonauts, our LGBTQ+ creative project Stow and Tweedbank youth clubs Pathways and Pathways to Wellbeing, supporting young people into positive destinations School holiday programmes, trips and family events What helps us most: Surplus food and drink for our drop-ins, where we serve thousands of meals each year Volunteer time, skills sharing and employability support for young people Goods and equipment for our building, projects and family events Partnerships with local businesses who want to invest in young people in the Scottish Borders TD1 Youth Hub is a Scottish charity (SC022005), the trading name of Eildon West Youth Hub Ltd (SC207926), and a three-time YouthLink Scotland National Youth Work Award winner.
