How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Each Friday up to twenty volunteers offer companionship to those who make use of the space and the support available from our partners. Along side the front facing team we have a dedicated team of five people working in the kitchen. Each week they prepare hot and cold drinks and snacks as well as preparing and cooking a fresh lunch for our guests. Guests are welcome to as much tea, coffee, juice, biscuits, and lunch as they wish. We offer vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options to approximately fifty guests per week. As a non-profit, we use and donate everything we receive in donations to those who need it. Our aim is to love our community without judgement or condemnation. To offer companionship and a safe space. Our work with Neighbourly is a vital component to enable us to support local people. We rely on food donations such as vegetables, bread rolls, milk (an alternatives), juice, newspapers and biscuits each week. We always need volunteers and donations of good quality warm clothing and blankets.
