Our charity runs multiple projects to meet our aims, such as relieving poverty, preserving and protecting the environment, advancing education, promoting physical and mental health, and connecting the community. We currently meet these aims through our projects, which include the Clothing and Baby Bank, the Community Lounge, the Community Fridge and Pantry, and ACE Youth. Our most valuable work goes on behind the scenes, where we provide an emergency referral service

The Newbury Community Resource Centre Limited helps local people by providing furniture, household goods, training and services to support independent living. We help people to develop work and social skills, and encourage environmentally beneficial activities by promoting re-cycling and re-use. We also provide daily breakfast and lunch for the volunteers who attend the project.

Community Youth Project has a successful track record of reducing antisocial behaviour and juvenile crime/nuisance through provision of safe meeting space, positive sporting and adventurous activities and engaging young people in local democracy/decision making. Experience has shown us that our success is founded on the trust and support of parents and the local community, so we work in partnership with them too, and with local agencies to tackle issues which matter to local residents. Our work is focused on the five core outcomes from the Children’s Act. Be healthy, Stay safe Enjoy and achieve, Make a positive contribution, Achieve economic well-being Our work aims to instil the confidence, self-esteem and life skills necessary to avoid NEET categorisation, welfare dependency and crime.
