Promote the well being of the residents of bishops green & the immediate neighbourhood, without distinction of gender, race, sex, political, religious etc. to be achieved by associating together the residents & local authorities, voluntary & other organisations in an effort to provide facilities with the object of improving the conditions of life for all residents. We're particularly hoping to reopen our youth club in the village hall.

Luncheon Club for senior citizens, Hot Meals on Wheels Delivery, Daily Events & Activities, Transport to collect housebound clients, Technology Support for all devices complimentary, Sandwich service for suppers, men in sheds group, Cafe and full commercial kitchen cooking and serving over 25,000 meals a year to senior citizens. Currently run with a team of 60 volunteers and some staff. Fair Close Centre has been in Newbury for over 52 years. They also run the FREE bookshop in the Kennet Centre, Newbury to enable them to reach out to lonely and isolated people and then engage them within the centre. 01635 40488 hello@fairclosecentre.org . Community Youth Project has a successful track record of reducing antisocial behaviour and juvenile crime/nuisance through provision of safe meeting space, positive sporting and adventurous activities and engaging young people in local democracy/decision making. Experience has shown us that our success is founded on the trust and support of parents and the local community, so we work in partnership with them too, and with local agencies to tackle issues which matter to local residents. Our work is focused on the five core outcomes from the Children’s Act. Be healthy, Stay safe Enjoy and achieve, Make a positive contribution, Achieve economic well-being Our work aims to instil the confidence, self-esteem and life skills necessary to avoid NEET categorisation, welfare dependency and crime.
