How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

This was an increase of 34% YoY from 2014-2015 and we have again seen increased demand in 2016-2017 We work from our base at Big Yellow Self Storage in Tunbridge Wells where we store our food in three large storage units. Our volunteers pick and pack food bags three days a week and we have a dedicated team of volunteer drivers that distribute our bags directly to the homes of our beneficiaries.
