How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food, money and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Ekklesia - Hull

Hull, UK

At Ekklesia Hull our aim is to share God’s love in a practical way by supporting anyone in the community who’s struggling. We saw that many people are finding it difficult to make ends meet in our community so we decided to provide hot meals and sandwiches every Sunday in the afternoon to everyone. We had a gentleman say to us that, the meal was the first time he’s had something hot to eat all week. We also provide bagged rice, oil and essential food parcels to individuals and families in need, welcoming everyone regardless of background or faith. We know our resources are limited, but every donation helps us reach more people with kindness, dignity, and hope.
