We are a CIO - FOUNDATION Registered 18 Mar 2019, and we feed the homeless and people struggling on benefits and low incomes. We also proved homeless with sleeping bags and tents warm clothing and food vouchers. We also provide a food bank.

The prevention and relief of poverty in Knottingley and the surrounding area, particularly but not exclusively by providing free emergency food and supplies to individuals/families in need and also by signposting people to appropriate support agencies. KFB is a foodbank operating within the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network. The foodbank has 2 opening sessions per week and clients are referred to us by professionals operating in the locality, using the Trussell Trust voucher format. The foodbank has its distribution centre in Knottingley Community Church and has warehouse facilities for food storage. All aspects of the foodbank are run by volunteers under the guidance of the Trustees. Plans are in the pipeline (once finance has been secured) for hiring a Manager to oversee the project.

The Old Quarry Adventure Playground has been supporting local children for over 40 years. The Addy was originally known as Warwick Adventure Playground and was set up in 1972. At this time, many miners moved to the area and their children would venture down to the quarry to play. The playground was set up to provide local children with a safe space to explore and play. Since it first opened over 40 years ago, the Addy has developed into so much more than a safe place to play. Thanks to many dedicated staff and volunteers, the Old Quarry Adventure playground provides daily play sessions for children of all ages; as well as services for the elderly, children with additional needs and for local youths and tots. It is a space to adventure and be free. We now offer many different sessions and also offer free meals to children.
