TOGETHER WE CAN HELP STOP HUNGER From donating food, volunteering your time or taking on an exciting fundraising challenge, there are lots of ways to get involved with raising awareness of poverty and helping stop UK hunger. Working together is the only way to end hunger. We’ve built many partnerships to pursue new and better approaches, accelerate the success of our programs, and get food and resources to those who need them most. Our motivation is derived from the fact that more than a quarter of a million people are homeless in England (BBC). The figures show homelessness hotspots outside London, with high rates in Birmingham, Brighton and Luton. To continue with our organisational mission of reaching out to those needing help the most; and practicing “charity begins at home”, we started food distribution drive in Birmingham. Although the government says that it is investing £500m in homelessness we still come across quite a large number of people needing their food supplies on daily basis. Although the projects UKCAB runs, coordinate in improving the community development pace by offering free education which will enable people to gain skills and avoid homelessness by getting jobs or starting their own businesses, we witness people who are in dire need of basic necessities to survive.

Our charity is a community development not for profit organisation that offers food to people who are in need. It aims to offer multi-faceted contributions to communities, advances community and development goals and works to fill the overall needs for its targeted focus areas.Our faith inspires us to be an organisation built on compassion, and motivated by love.

Syrian community council based in Manchester, registered as charity Organization with a number 1202204 we are exist to promote social inclusion for the public benefit of people in Greater Manchester and united Kingdom who are refugees or asylum seekers (in particular, people of Syrian heritage) and who are socially excluded on the grounds of their ethnic origin, religion, belief or creed to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, in particular by: • increasing opportunities for members of the Syrian community to engage with service providers, to enable those providers to adapt services to better meet the needs of that community. • providing peer support and other activities that build people’s confidence and enable them to participate more effectively with the wider community. • promoting social and recreational events involving the local community. • building people’s knowledge and confidence in their own cultural heritage and its potential contribution to a multi-cultural society.
