Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.
Through Neighbourly, Sainsbury's has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.
Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.
Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.
Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.
Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

BIADS is a local charity founded in 2010 to support families in Barnsley whose lives are affected by dementia. We offer comfort, support and a range of activities to help alleviate the isolation which can occur when someone is diagnosed with dementia. The services that we provide are aimed at the carer as well as the person with dementia and we have groups for singing, simple dance, craft activities, light exercise and walking. We also hold regular drop-in cafes, social events and day trips, as well as organising two five day holidays in the UK per year fully escorted by staff and volunteers. Our carer support workers receive referrals from the NHS and Social Services as well as other associated agencies, to create a bespoke client based service for families where a diagnosis has been received. They also provide an invaluable lifeline in times of stress and confusion by giving advice and useful coping mechanisms for living with someone with dementia. If needed carers are signposted to the relevant agencies where they may be able to access other types of assistance such as financial support and benefits, to ease the sometimes difficult journey through the illness. The BIADS' experience is warm, welcoming and non-judgemental. Members can truly relax in an environment which fosters the growth of new friendships and encourages inclusion. We believe that by enabling our members to live as independently as they can, we also help them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. New to BIADS is our dementia day care centre in Barnsley town centre which was opened to help us to become more self sustainable and less reliant on continuously having to find funding to support our services.
