The project began in May 2015 and ran a series of successful pop-ups, feeding an average of 201 people per event and utilising 15 volunteers each time to assist in the planning and execution of the events. Fast forward to 2026 and Food Works now recovers over 300 tonnes of surplus food per year to help build a fair and sustainable food system in Sheffield. Through our two community cafes and 17 community partner hubs we are providing access to affordable, sustainable food across the city.

Giving access to food surplus , saving the planet and feeding the hungry . Providing a helping hand in the Norton lees and Meersbrook communities. We also have a nappy / baby milk bank . Hope Hub operates free Teas, Coffee, Toast and cakes . Come and see our cost of livings worker on both Wednesday and Friday , our jobs coach , parent forum out reach and family hubs workers . St Paul's Community pantry supports homeless by giving out food on the streets in an evening and providing emergency parcels . We send baskets of hope for less well off pupils in schools , We hold a community lunch every Friday.11.45 for a hot lunch .

For over 20 years, we have provided safe, supportive and quality housing across Yorkshire for young adults at risk and adults with complex needs who require support and a safe living environment. Working alongside our not-for-profit organisation, Impact Property Services Ltd, we transform underused and rundown properties in some of the most deprived areas of Yorkshire, into long-term supported accommodation for those seeking support for a better life. We currently provide 140 units of accommodation across eight different sites in Sheffield, Bradford and Malton, supporting up to 150 people in need. We particularly aim to support people suffering from mental health conditions and chronic/long-term medical conditions, including cancer, and work to raise public awareness of these issues. We also promote further care and relief by granting feasible respite. Designated Key Workers support our residents in all areas relating to their home, personal development, social inclusion and long-term goals. We are also committed to offering volunteering and training opportunities to our residents and local communities. We use donations of food / groceries to provide food parcels for service users who are struggling financially, helping to relieve pressure on local food banks. We also use some of the products to provide meals during social activities for our service users. We provide access to on-site specialist ‘extra care’ and personalised support programmes, including daily wellbeing checks; health/wellbeing workshops including our newly developed Creative Arts Therapy Programme. We work closely with relevant health/social care partners to provide a coordinated approach to achieve the best outcomes for our residents, while helping to relieve the pressure on local mental health services.
