Lincoln Community Grocery is situated on Beaumont Fee in Lincoln. Being a Community Grocery member means you can shop in store multiple times each week, helping you save on your shopping budget. We have stores across the country and your membership can be used in all of them. You can choose items from across the store as part of your standard shop. Because we rely on surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, what's on our shelves can change each day. At the Community Grocery as well as saving money on food, you're helping save the planet too. A lot of the food has been supplied to us as it's close to or just past its best before date, and would likely been thrown away despite being perfectly fine to eat. Every thing we supply will be checked regularly for quality and we'll never stock anything that's past it's use by date. The Community Grocery is about more than food. Your membership gives you free access to the courses running in store too. Whether you are looking to learn a new skill or want to meet new people, there will be something available for you. The Community Grocery opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm. Membership is £1 per year and we offer the following shops: £5.00 for 12 points £7.50 for 18 points £10.00 for 24 points £12.50 for 30 points

From Our Community, For Our Community 💚 CHOMP is a 100% volunteer-run Community Interest Company supporting individuals and families across Lincoln and the surrounding areas. We rescue surplus food, provide free community food distributions, emergency food parcels, household essentials and community activities that reduce food waste, tackle food insecurity and bring people together. We are always looking for surplus food donations, volunteers, business partnerships and financial support to help us reach even more people. Founded on the belief that nobody should go hungry or feel alone, CHOMP has become much more than a food support organisation. We are a community where everyone is welcomed with dignity, compassion and without judgement. We are currently in the process of registering as a CIO. Working alongside supermarkets, local businesses, FareShare and community partners, we rescue perfectly good surplus food that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it free of charge through regular community distributions, emergency support and outreach. Alongside food support we also provide toiletries, hygiene products, flowers, household essentials and signposting to other local services. Throughout the year we organise free family events, children’s activities, community litter picks, seasonal celebrations, wellbeing initiatives and volunteering opportunities that help reduce loneliness and strengthen community connections. Since launching, CHOMP has: 💚 Delivered over 726 emergency food parcels 💚 Supported over 900 households 💚 Redistributed the equivalent of 33,836 meals 💚 Prevented over approximately 25,967kg of CO₂ emissions 💚 Saved many tonnes of perfectly edible food from becoming waste Everything we provide is completely free, with no referral required for our community distributions and no judgement for those who need support. As demand continues to grow, we are now fundraising to secure a permanent CHOMP Community Hub. Having our own permanent premises will allow us to expand our food support, safely store donations, increase volunteer opportunities, provide indoor community activities throughout the year and create a welcoming space where local people can access support, connect with others and build stronger communities. Nacro is a National Social Justice Charity with over 50 years’ Experience of Changing Lives, Building Stronger Communities and Reducing Crime. We House, Educate, Support, Advise, and Advocate for disadvantaged Young People and Adults. We are passionate about Changing Lives; we never give up. In 2016/17 we helped over 38,000 people. Schoeffer House accommodates Young People who lack Independent Living Skills, and who need assistance to manage Move-On options into their own Tenancies. We deal with single Young People and Young Parents in Supported Accommodation.
